Fiji – Denarau
A short drive from Nadi (approx 15 minutes from the Airport), Denarau Island is easily accessible with a causeway that separates the island from Viti Levu. The whole place is a playground of resorts, golfing, man-made lakes and canals. With so much to do, it’s the ideal spot for everything from an action packed escape to a relaxed romantic getaway.
Cruise ships sail into the picturesque harbour while tall ships whisk you away to the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands for snorkelling, swimming and sunset cocktails. The 18 hole course of Denarau Golf and Racquet Club is a golfer’s dream.
The list of activities on the island is a mile long. Try jet skiing, snorkelling, kayaking or sailing, just to name a few. For something different, learn to cook Fiji’s unique dishes at a cooking school. If you have any energy left, spend it exploring the entertainment hub, Port Denarau Marina. Browse the wide range of shops for jewellery and clothes or tempt your taste buds with seafood or Italian cuisine. Some of the best restaurants in Fiji are found here overlooking the water. Relax with a cocktail and watch the sun go down.
The Bula Bus is the chosen mode of transport for a small fee you can ride the open air bus around the Resorts of Denarau and down to the Port Denarau Marina Complex.
