Pacific Resort Rarotonga
– Rarotonga –
Pacific Resort Rarotonga is located on Muri Beach (in my opinion the best beach on the island) and is rated as a 4 star resort. The property is well groomed and there are lovely mature tropical gardens which gives it a ‘cooler feeling’, as there are nice areas you can get out of the direct sun. They have recently done some refurbishments to the rooms. The beach is nice and great for swimming, however there is virtually no coral along this stretch of beach due to a ‘bloom’ a few years back so snorkelling is almost non-existent. There is a fresh water pool, one restaurant and one bar, rental car desk, tour desk, Kid’s Club, daily activities program and their very own glass bottom boat cruiser.
Included in your stay is daily tropical island breakfast, free use of kayaks, snorkelling equipment, beach towels and sun loungers, free garden tour, free scheduled daily activities, free kids club (ages 6-12yrs) and daily guest welcome orientation on the beach.
Children under 12 stay, play and eat tropical breakfast free. There are plenty of grades of accommodation to suit your entire family here from Studio Rooms right up to 3 Bedroom Villas. The smaller room grades (except for the Beachfront Suites) have a kitchenette with microwave and small fridge, whilst the villas are fully self contained with full kitchens.
The sister property Pacific Resort Aitutaki is another option for your wedding. These Resorts have some ‘combo deals’ for accommodation. Although having a wedding in Aitutaki adds on extra cost for your guests, it may be a better option to have your wedding at the Pacific Resort here on Rarotonga and then fly out to The Pacific Resort Aitutaki for your honeymoon once your guests depart for home.
There are some lovely beach and tropical garden areas that would be ideal for your wedding ceremony. They also have the option to have an exclusive ceremony set-up on the Koromiri Motu.
Koromiri Motu is the Resorts own uninhabited island 200 metres across the lagoon from the beach including private boat transfers for yourself and your guests.
There is a large marquee within the garden area of the resort that can accommodation up to a maximum 75 guests for the wedding reception. There is also a beach marquee on the sand and this is only suitable for groups of up to 30 people, so could also be an option, depending on final numbers. I have photos of all of these venues that I can send to you once you have made a decision to proceed and a deposit has been paid.
They also have a wedding special whereby if the Bride and Groom book 7 nights accommodation in a Beachfront Suite, they give you a FREE Pacific Wedding Ceremony (valued at $1350.00).
