Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa
Sofitel Fiji Resort
– Denarau, Fiji –
Opened in 2005 and is a 4.5 star resort in my opinion and beachfront. The Resort is a 20 minute drive from Nadi Airport and only a 2 minute drive or 12 minute walk from Port Denarau – you can also take the Bula Bus around Denarau which makes it easy to access. The sea water here is not clear as there is a river nearby and the marina area is also not far away which has an effect on the sea, however the pools here are lovely including a children pool with slide. The Denarau Golf Course is nearby.
As well as their standard room grades they also have a Family Room with a separate play/sleep children’s area with a set of bunks and a Playstation 3 and TV to keep them occupied when not out and about, so a good family option.
The resort itself has four restaurants, cafe, four lounges/bars, huge family swimming pool, new Adults only area with private swimming pool, watersports centre, beauty spa, gift shops, tour desk, kids club (3-12yrs) with playground, babysitting facilities, and Day Spa.
Up to 2 children under 12 years of age stay free as well as dine free in Lagoon Restaurant (buffet) for breakfast and dinner when dining with parents.
WAITUI BEACH CLUB – New addition to the Resort which is an Adults only area with 25m lap pool, swim up bar private poolside cabanas and gymnasium. If you stay in the Waitui Beach Club Rooms/Suites you have access to this club with many complimentary inclusions such as cocktails and snacks/canapes each evening.
You can choose from either a beachside or garden ceremony venue with a selection of archways
or a wet weather alternative / indoor venue.
There are a variety of reception options – from outdoor gardens or beachside settings to glamorous ballrooms and fine dining restaurant options. You can have a cocktail function or sit down dinner – there can be tailored to whatever you desire. You can choose your own menu from a wide range of options,
or go with one of the all-inclusive package options for your wedding and reception to include a traditional menu and three hour beverage package for 30 guests (or add on more guests to this for a per head cost). Or if you like you can hire one of the restaurants for a private function to make your wedding reception a little more intimate.
